Our office is conveniently located in center of Ulaanbaatar – 307, Urbanek Office Sukhbaatar District, Ulaanbaatar-14251, Mongolia. 
Four Wheeler rental center is in Khandgait which is 24 km from Ulaanbaatar. The rental service is seasonally open. Please contact us for a reservation. Finding us is easy! Click on it. 

Do I need to make a reservation?

Do you require a reservation deposit?
We have a reservation non-refundable deposit starting at $200.00. This insures that your rental period is booked and waiting for you. This charge will be used against your total rental fee and is not an additional cost.
 

How much will my adventure cost? 
Nearly all tours will be customized to the groups needs causing variations in tour price. We offer hourly rentals as well as multiple day tours. For best results contact the office and talk to us about your tour needs. 
 

What is your Cancellation / Refund Policy?
1.    To reserve your RENTAL UNIT, Operator agrees to pay a $200 non-refundable booking deposit charged on his/hers credit card to confirm their reservation. 
2.    Operator agrees that there are NO REFUNDS on reservation deposits, but if there should be a cancellation the Operator can use his/her reservation deposit and reschedule the RENTAL UNIT at later date (receive in-store credit) and is valid for 
3.    Operator agrees to pay the remaining balance owing if he/she CANCELS the reservation 2 WEEKS or less than the scheduled date. The Operators credit card will automatically be charged the remaining owning balance. 
4.    Operator agrees that if weather adversely affects the ability to utilize the RENTAL UNIT, Backcountry Rentals Ltd. is under NO obligation to issue a refund or discount
 

How old do you have to be to ride?
You need to be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license to rent the equipment. Renters take full responsibility for the equipment they rent and who they let ride.

What's included in my adventure?
Professional tour guides. All of our guides have extensive off-road experience and demonstrate a broad knowledge of the riding areas. They are First Aid certified and thoroughly trained for all riding scenarios.
Complete riding gear (on request). This includes: helmet, goggles, gloves, riding pants, and riding shirt. Dirt bike boots are provided for dirt bike riders, but Quad riders are expected to provide sturdy close toed shoes. Leave your sandals and heels for after the tour.
Lunch is the only meal provided. If you would like to add dinner onto your tour this can be arranged. Multiple day tours include all accommodations. A Bottled water is supplied through out the tour.
On tours 5 days or longer our support vehicles will carry your luggage, medical equipment, food, drinks, spare parts, and supplies.
Assistance with trailside repairs, daily maintenance and fuel.
Satellite phone is carried by sweep rider when cell phone coverage is not available. This allows worldwide communications in the event of an emergency.
Rides average 65 - 200 km per day depending upon groups preferences.

What should I wear riding an ATV or SxS? 
Do not wear good clothes, you will get dirty. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended. If the weather is cold, bring a jacket.
 

How many people will be in the tour? 
There will be at least 1 guide per 4 riders. Separate groups will not be combined if they exhibit different levels of riding. In other words, we don’t combine advanced riders with beginners of a separate group. We want your tour to be the best we can provide, your tour will be fitted to your riding needs. 
 

What should I bring? 
We recommend that you bring a small back pack to hold your personal items; such as wallet, identification, snacks, sunscreen, lip balm, and an extra pair of socks for after the tour. You will not need to have your pack on you during the first portion of the tour, it’s when you are in the trails that you, or a member of your group, should have a pack to hold bottled water. All ATV riders must bring a pair of close toed shoe for riding during the tour. If you plan to bring your own riding gear you must have an off road helmet, goggles, and gloves. It is very important that you bring your picture ID or your passport and Visa. Children are advised to bring a copy of their birth certificate.
 

Should I bring extra money on my adventure?
Yes, the tour does not cover any drinks, souvenirs, photos and gratuity. You need to bring cash, don’t expect any ATMs nearby.
 

What is a damage deposit?
We require all customers to leave a $3000.00 dollar damage deposit/ credit card pre-authorization. When the final inspection is complete the deposit will be refunded.
 

What are some of the common reasons damage deposits are kept?
1. Renter rolls vehicle. Causing damage to plastic fenders and handle bars, etc. 
2. Renter runs over a large rock 
3. Excessive wear and tear. Treat our equipment like your own and we will not keep your deposit. In general, we understand that things can and do happen. But as business owners we dont want to see our equipment brake down. We require Credit Card pre-autorization of $3000.00. this is not a charge, just a pre-auth on a credit card. If there is no damage done to rented vehicles, there is absolutely no charge.
 

Do I need a driver’s license to ride?
No motor vehicle license required for designated, off-road areas. However for safety reasons we require our renters to have Valid Drivers license to rent.
 

What kind of terrain should I expect in the riding areas?
If you have never been off-roading in Mongolia, it is a unique experience. The trails range from easy FSR trails for beginners to technical areas for the most advanced rider. Some trails include steep climbs and plenty of whoops. With any trail, you can expect to see breath-taking views. You can ride through canyons built by mountain runoff, or mud holes along the routes.
 

What time do I pick up and drop off the rental equipment?
You may pick up the rental equipment as early as 8:00 am on the first day of your rental period. Everything must be returned by 6:00 pm on the final day of your rental period to avoid paying late fees. It may be possible to pick up your rental equipment the night before, call +976 88883888 for availability.
