What makes Mongolia famous? Of course the Great Mongol Empire and its founder Chinggis Khaan…But the Gobi is another topic that makes Mongolia famous again. There are a few famous deserts on our mother earth. One of them is Mongolian Gobi-related to the so-called Silk Road and a dinosaur skeleton. It is an endless land of desert bounded by the Altai Mountains and Mongolian steppe in the North. The most famous spot are Red Flaming Cliff of Bayanzag and Sand Dunes of Khongor. The Red Flaming Cliff is one of the most famous paleontological areas on earth. Early in 19th-century American adventurer, Roy Chapman Andrews discovered a dinosaur egg at this place.
